Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and organized part time dental assistant to an established Dentist . The relaxed paced practice provides excellent care to wonderful patients.

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including general dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as cements, impression materials, and restorative materials
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients regarding oral hygiene and care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and trimming diagnostic casts
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide preventive dental care instructions
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology

- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Experience with digital X-ray imaging and developing X-rays
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members

Qualifications:

- Five years experience
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Current certification in Dental Assisting
- CPR certification required
